Celebrate Korean Children's Day and Cinco de Mayo!

What: In Korea, May 5th holds the same excitement that birthdays or Christmas bring to children in other parts of the world. Experience Korea through Arts and Culture programs including Traditional Marching Band performance and interactive workshop, Korean knotting (Maedeup) making workshop for kids and K-POP Dance workshop learning Korean pop sensation PSY's Music and Dance.

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Aurelia Fernandez, a master of Mexican paper arts. Cinco de Mayo (5th of May) commemorates an important battle in Puebla, Mexico and is largely celebrated in the Pueblo region of Mexico and by Mexican Americans. Aurelia will lead family-friendly workshops throughout the day. Join us for pinata making and cooking the essential festival food of Cinco de Mayo: mole Poblano, a thick spicy sauce blending over 40 ingredients.

When: Sunday, May 5, 1pm
Where: Flushing Town Hall
