NY State Cider & Thanksgiving Market

What: New Amsterdam Market will host the Third Annual New York State Cider Revival in collaboration with Glynwood, a continuation of Cider Week. The event will feature New York hard cider makers, reviving a century's old tradition of the fermented beverage. Once one of the most popular beverages of New York, hard cider faced a quick demise as Prohibition ended legal sales.
In addition, our market will stock all your holiday essentials- from pies to poultry! One of our newest vendors, Adirondack Beef Company, will be offering pasture-raised Midget White Turkeys for your holiday meal. The Midget White is a heritage breed, considered critically threatened by the Livestock Conservancy. The re-introduction and continuous breeding of such varieties will ensure their existence in the future. The turkeys are available for pre-order with pick-up at our Sunday, November 24th market. The birds will be frozen (perfectly thawed by Thursday in the fridge) and range from 15-24lbs, $6.00/lb.

Please contact Steve, at (315) 346-1741 to place an order or for additional details.
