The People’s Ball: A Night of Style, Imagination, Freedom and You!


WHAT: The People’s Ball is a celebration of style, imagination, freedom, and you! Dress up in the clothes that make you feel your most beautiful and authentic and walk the runway in the iconic lobby of Brooklyn Public Library’s Central Library. 

In contrast to the elite galas that pop up across the city in the spring, The People’s Ball is a FREE, inclusive event that eschews elitism and honors the colors, textures, and styles that comprise the city’s urban runway. Come celebrate and be celebrated by your friends and neighbors as you dance, party and pose.

Hosted by actress Delissa Reynolds, featuring stunning performances by singer Cunio and DJ sets by Rimarkable. Special guests include fashion curator Souleo, and five People’s Heroes whose work has changed the culture.

Pose on the Plaza starting at 6:30 pm (doors at 7:00pm). Food and drink specials to be announced.

Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts


Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts welcomes children to experience the natural beauty of our campus and the transformative power of music by enrolling in our Allegro Music Program. The program invites musicians in grades 2–12 to advance their performance and playing skills and nurture their appreciation of music on our beautiful woodland campus.

Usdan also offers programs for students k–12 in visual art, creative wiring, dance, theater, chess, nature and sustainability, and recreational arts. Bus transportation is available from Nassau and Suffolk Counties and New York City.
