Cultural Collaborative Jamaica is pleased to present The Main Event -- Day 2 of the JAMS Festival. The Main Event is a day of multicultural family activities and entertainment. 10 blocks of Jamaica Avenue are closed to vehicular traffic, from Parsons Boulevard to 169th Streets, to host one of the largest tourist destinations in Queens. 450 ethnic vendors and more than 200 urban design stores will line Jamaica Avenue.
The day will also include health and wellness demonstrations that will offer a great way to stay fit and healthy. Be sure to visit the artist galleries, a rock climbing wall, basketball hoops, football toss, and the double dutch station -- all run by fitness professionals. All of the above will be complemented by sound stages that will feature live entertainment representing premiere world music artists of Caribbean, Indian, African, and Latin American influence/descent on stage 1, and young emerging artists on stage 2.
