WHAT: It's a summer tradition and a true New York experience. Every summer,
the HBO Film Festival screens great films on a giant screen in Bryant
Park on Monday nights. New Yorkers flock to Bryant Park to picnic on the
lawn and enjoy a great film under the stars with New York City as a
backdrop.
All films begin at dusk (usually between 8 pm and 9 pm), but the
lawn opens at 5 pm for blankets and picnicking (you can line up on the
edges of the lawn starting at 4PM). Get there early and stake out a spot
if you want a good view of the screen.
