What: Persian Parade is a joyous annual march held each year in April in celebration of Persian heritage and culture. The event’s impetus is the celebration of Persian New Year “Nowruz,” which means “new day,” corresponding to the arrival of spring. The parade’s participant lineup is open to the public and welcomes not only Persians, but Iranians of all ethnic backgrounds to participate. Attendees of this merry parade can expect to see various traditional music and dance performances throughout the day as well as a fun fashion show and various other activities.
