What: The Global Festival is a massive advocacy event taking place in New York this September, as world leaders gather for this year’s UN General Assembly. Scheduled performers include Neil Young with Crazy Horse, Foo Fighters, The Black Keys, Band of Horses and K'Naan. The Festival will bring 60,000 change makers to Central Park to celebrate progress made fighting extreme poverty, and to urge world leaders and fellow citizens to do more. It will showcase a generation taking action to end extreme poverty and share inspiring stories of progress, demonstrating how investments in things like vaccines can transform children's lives, and bring us to the brink of huge wins like the complete eradication of polio.
