What: Pumpkin chucking, live wolves and bats, and Frankenstein-like
projections are all part of the fun at NYSCI’s two-weekend celebration
of Halloween and the Day of the Dead. Some activities require an
additional fee; see details below.
October 26 & 27:
2pm, Wolves of North America with Atka. Meet Atka, a live Arctic gray
wolf from the Wolf Conservation Center, and learn about wolves, their
relationship to the environment, and how humans can protect their
future. $6 adults, $5 children
Pumpkin Chucking, 1pm & 3pm Watch NYSCI’s catapult, Chuck, toss pumpkins in the air.
November 2 & 3:
Live Bat Encounters, 1pm & 3pm See some live bats, plus find out
about the benefits of bats, why we need to conserve them, and what you
can do to help them at this special show with Rob Mies from the
Organization for Bat Conservation. $6 adults, $5 children

November 2 Only: Dead or Alive Party, 3 – 6 pm: Frankenstein-like
projections by Mapathon, forensic science activities, locally made Day
of the Dead-inspired treats, and Halloween make projects. Prizes will be
awarded to those in costumes.
