Divine Details

What: Divine Details is an exhibit & store, curated in collaboration between AIGA (the world's largest professional design association) and downtown boutique design studio Little Fury. Housed in AIGA's gallery in the heart of the Flatiron district, Divine Details will feature some of the worlds most beautiful and well-crafted common goods; from the perfect bottle-opener, to a shatterless crystal wine glass, to the most fashionable and functional tote for your CitiBike. The 33 showcased designer products are each accompanied by an original fictional story inspired by each object, commissioned from some of New York's most acclaimed writers, including music writer Garnette Cadogan (Rolling Stone, The New Yorker, Vibe), Brooklyn food blogger Cathy Erway (The Art of Eating In, Eater's Top 10), and playwright Bekah Brunstetter (OOHRAH!, MTV's Underemployed). In addition to daily store hours, the exhibition will also host a series of interactive events entitled; Further Details; focusing on design's relationship to food, music, and story.
