2014 Zlatne Uste Golden Festival

What: An incredible grass roots event, New York's only music and dance festival of its kind celebrates 29 YEARS of live Balkan, Roma ("Gypsy") music and beyond. Dance 'til you drop - Sample Balkan specialties both nights!

The celebration begins Friday night in the grand ballroom with a dance workshop from 7:30-8:45pm and live music until 12:30 am.  


The festival resumes at 6 pm Saturday with four simultaneous music stages and doesn't wind down until early Sunday morning.  From international stars to local favorites, musicians from all over the world come to play and sing Albanian, Bulgarian, Romany (Gypsy), Macedonian, Serbian, Greek, Turkish, Hungarian, Norwegian, Swedish, Klezmer, Ukrainian, and Georgian music, among others. Enjoy hours of beautiful and energetic music, unusual rhythms, and mouth-watering Balkan and Middle Eastern refreshments.
