What: The largest botanical garden in any U.S. city -- featuring 250 acres of
lush natural delights and magnificent historical architecture -- honors
harvest-time in Japan with an exhibition of that country's most
magnificent fall-flowering plants.
The featured plants will change
during the course of the exhibition, which begins by showcasing Japanese
maples and toad lilies amid sweeps of ferns and ornamental grasses, and
then continues with camellias and anemones. The last two weeks will
feature displays of kiku, or chrysanthemum, the official flower of
Japan. These chrysanthemums are trained to grow in a mesmerizing variety
of shapes and styles.
Throughout the celebration guests can enjoy
traditional dance and music performances on the weekends. Bring the
entire family and enjoy an all-garden pass with access to the Enid A.
Haupt Conservatory, Everett Children's Adventure Garden, tram tour, Rock
Garden and more.
